Senator Ronald Young gets Esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award
FREDERICK, Md. - Former Frederick Mayor, and now Senator Ronald Young, was recently recognized for demonstrating outstanding service to Maryland's Municipal Government.
The Maryland Municipal league represents 157 Maryland cities, and they recently presented Senator Ronald Young with the Esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2017 Summer Conference in Ocean City, Md.
While serving in the role of the Mayor of Frederick for 16 years, Young was dedicated to rebuilding the city after it suffered a devastating flood according to city officials.
Young has served as as a Maryland Senator since 2011. In the past, Senator Young has also served as a Frederick City Alderman, and Deputy Secretary of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources as well as other notable roles in the community.
